Why do a work day?
The amount of work that we get done on June 16 isn’t going to change the world. But hopefully it will change a little bit around us and a little bit in us. Then maybe the following week we will be a little more likely to take the opportunities that come to us right where we live.
It’s about our habits. How do we interact with our family, our neighbors… Our Streetcorner.
Why Guerrilla?
We aren’t going to light things on fire or hurt people. But guerrilla warfare implies sneaking in and sneaking out and not letting people know who you are. Matthew 6:3-4 says
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
So that is what we want to do. Sneak in. Sneak out. Don’t announce who we are.
